Why is the camera so good?

Simple Alignment:
No more will you have to manually turn the camera side to side to align it with the finish line. With the MacFinish 2D USB a 2D image of the finish line is produced, just like the one above. By then selecting 3 points to zoom into, you can easily align the camera with the finish line with the minimum of fuss.
The C mount lens used by MacFinish 2D USB is more affordable than the commonly used F-mount lenses and has the added advantage over this F-mount lens of needing up to a fifth less light to produce the same photo finish image, perfect for that end of season evening open meeting.
Time Saving:
During some races, it can be a long time between the winner and last place, therefore with MacFinish 2D USB the operator can begin to analyse the photo finish image before the race is totally finished. Data can be recorded and sent to the results software, while the system will be continue recording the image and add the rest of the image instantly as you need it.
Automatic Lens
An optional motorised C-mount lens gives you the ability to perform auto focus and auto iris, therefore never having to leave your seat to adjust the lens to the light intensity of the moment, that sun breaking through the clouds suddenly will not be a problem for your photo finish image.
Capture Every Start Impulse
On rare occasions, unpredictable events can happen which can start the photo finish equipment too early or too late. MacFininsh 2D USB registers all start signals, so after or during a race the operator can correct the start impulse, automatically correctly the times on the photo finish image and the running time on a scoreboard.
